Why This Website Took 3 Years to Launch + Love Letter to my Client
For the past three years, I’ve been fully immersed in meaningful-for-me kinda work. My partnership with Heart-Based Medicine, a foundation whose values align closely with my own has earned my full attention and energy. The result? My own website launch, the one you’re reading now, remained on hold. It may seem counterintuitive for someone in my field. This was a conscious choice rooted in my own personal philosophy.
Unlike many in my industry, I haven’t focused on building a polished personal brand, bustling social media accounts, or a library of lead magnets to draw in clients. Instead, I’ve chosen a different path: putting my clients first. Their success, growth, and missions have driven me to devote all my creative energy, strategic thinking, and operational focus to their work. The result? Leaving little time for my own.
This approach might seem unconventional. After all, a well-curated digital presence is almost expected in today’s world. But I’ve been too busy helping others build theirs. However, I understand the importance of leading by example. So, I’m finally taking the time to create a space. Here I can share my experiences, insights, and lessons learned over the years. This site isn’t just about showcasing what I offer; it’s an invitation to join me on a journey of personal growth and professional service.
Memories of Meducare 💛💙
My time with Heart-Based Medicine has been & continues to be so meaningful. One particular (+ all-encompassing) project was MEduCare–providing support to Ukrainian refugee families living in Basel. With over 9 programs, multiple service providers, an intercultural team, and extensive reporting required back to the grant-giving organizations, I had my hands full. Half a dozen trips to Basel, which resurrected my dormant German language skills from my youth. Long hours–often exceeding my contracted time–I was inspired to contribute more. This work required not only a deep understanding of intercultural dynamics but also the application of trauma-informed methods to help the families during this time of upheaval. This was far more than a job or project; it was a mission. What we are doing to make the world better is something I hold close to my heart.
Opening My Books
Now, as Heart-Based Medicine refines its mission and direction, while my role hasn’t changed–my schedule has opened up. Allowing me to focus on this long-overdue website. Furthermore, opening my books to new clients for the first time in over three years. While I don’t have a vast library of free resources or traditional lead magnets—yet—I promise that everything I share here will reflect the same dedication and commitment I’ve given to my clients. As for my social media presence, don’t expect it to go viral. I have a love-hate relationship with it that has nothing to do with my work or clients. 😉
In the coming months, I’ll be sharing more content, tools, and resources that reflect the depth and breadth of my experience. But for now, this post marks the beginning of something new. A space where I can connect with you, share my journey, And hopefully inspire you to keep pushing forward, even when the path is anything but straightforward.
Thank you for joining me at this new beginning. Here’s to creating something meaningful together.
P.S. Now, because this website is born of my own ‘magic’, the words you read are expressed with my own tone (+ do not reflect those of my clients). Sometimes that means expletives + emojis, because —hey—that’s authentic to me and the way I speak. Consider yourself advised.
